April 9th was Red Cross Day of Pink! Across Manitoba, more than 19,000 students, parents and community members from over 365 schools, workplaces wore pink shirts. When we stand together for respect, we create schools and workplaces where everyone feels safe and welcome to be who they are. Westgate celebrated this day by having a bake sale which raised over $200.00 for the Red Cross Campaign Against Bullying. Day of Pink also gave our community the opportunity to meet in small groups to express our thoughts and feelings toward bullying here at Westgate!
