Safe working conditions. Worker’s rights and compensation. Bureaucrats vs. the working class. Women’s rights. Scientific innovation, and the dangers that inherently come with it. All these timely topics set in the 1920s, when a group of young female factory workers fall ill, and then struggle to have their plight recognized by the men who are responsible. Radium Girls is based on true events from an era far removed, but with issues that still plague us today.
