Ruth Dyck teaches Senior High Mathematics and Computer Science at Westgate Mennonite Collegiate. After graduating from Westgate, Ruth attended the University of Manitoba, where she completed Bachelor's Degrees in Arts and Education. She taught mathematics in the St. James Assiniboia School Division before deciding to return to the University of Manitoba to advance her knowledge of Computer Science. In 1987, Westgate invited her to teach Mathematics and to develop a Computer Science program. As the daughter of a Mennonite minister and an avid supporter of Christian education, Ruth gladly accepted the opportunity to combine her love of teaching and her faith commitment. For the past twenty years, she has enjoyed the challenge of helping all Westgate students who enter her classroom to develop an appreciation for Math and Computer Science. In her spare time, Ruth enjoys pilates and ballroom dancing. Ruth and her husband, Hank Dyck, attend Charleswood Mennonite Church. They have two children, both of whom graduated from Westgate.
