Andrea Bell
Strings Director


Information: Born in Winnipeg, Andrea Bell holds Bachelor Degrees in both Music and Education from the University of Manitoba where she was a student of Julie Banton. She completed a Master of Music in Cello Performance from the University of British Columbia as a student of Eric Wilson. Andrea is the manager and cellist of the Rembrandt String Quartet, which has performed for CBC Radio and Television and is in demand for concerts, weddings and events around Winnipeg. As a freelance artist, Andrea has performed with the WSO and the Brandon Chamber Players, as well as for concert series including Virtuosi, Groundswell, Music N’ Mavens and Skywalk Concert Series. A passionate and gifted music educator, Ms. Bell is the director of the String Orchestra at Westgate Mennonite Collegiate and maintains a large cello teaching studio. She is the Director and faculty member of the Summer Chamber Music Camp at University of Manitoba, and teaches for the Rosamunde Summer Music Academy at CMU. Andrea has conducted the Winnipeg Youth Concert Orchestra since 1997.
