| Manitoba German Language Contest 2010 |

On Saturday, February 20, 2010 twenty-five Westgate students accepted the challenge and competed in the Manitoba German Language Contest at CMU. Over one hundred students from across Manitoba competed in a number of categories according to Grade and language level. Congratulations to the intrepid 25! At the final program, Naomi Langelotz (2009 alumni) spoke about the Germany trip she won in the preceding year. We also had winners in a number of categories. Mielen Remmert placed 3rd in the Junior A category. In the Junior C category Amy Baergen placed 1st, Nicolien Klassen-Wiebe 2nd, Camryn Harder 3rd and we can say that Westgate "owned the podium". Jacquelyn Klassen placed 1st in the Intermediate C category. In Senior C placed Rebecca Klassen-Wiebe 2nd and Josie Penner 3rd. Hurra!! |
