Herb Guenther has spent his adult life pursuing two passions, teaching and coaching. He has been teaching since 1985, in various capacities, at both the high school and middle school levels. His teaching career began at Kelvin High School where he taught for three years and then transferred to Stanley Knowles where he spent 13 years as a team leader and the science department head. Often called "the science guy", Herb currently teaches Science (Gr. 7 & 8), Current Topics in Science (11) and Biology at the grade( 11) level. Herb's past teaching curriculum also includes Geography, Physical Education,and Ancient History. Herb has a great enthusiasm for athletics and has coached and played volleyball, basketball, soccer and track and field. He presently holds a Provincial B license in soccer and has spent numerous years coaching soccer at the Premier level. He has two adult boys Jerrad and Brysen, and is a member at Douglas Mennonite Church.
