Heidi graduated from Westgate in 1997 and went on to study Education at the University of Manitoba, where she specialized in Sciences and English.  She started her teaching career at Winnipeg Mennonite Elementary and Middle Schools where she taught grade seven.  During this time, Heidi completed her Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Education at the University of Manitoba, with a focus on inclusive special education.  She started teaching at Westgate in 2009 and specializes in Math and Sciences.  Outside of school, Heidi spends much of her time outdoors with her family, gardening, running, biking, hiking and camping.
